Coach Bernatow begins his eigth year as the head baseball coach of the Lancers baseball program. Bernatow is also in his fifth year as the Sports Information Director for Mount Marty's Athletic Department.
Bernatow holds a 165-173 record in his coaching career at Mount Marty. This includes GPAC Conference Regular Season Championship in 2010. The 2010 Lancers set a school record 39 wins and a Runner-up finish at the National Opening Round Tournament in Lubbock, Texas. The Lancers finished the season one game away from the NAIA World Series. For his team efforts Bernatow was named GPAC 2010 Coach of the Year. Under the direction of Bernatow the Lancers also have two GPAC Conference Tourney Runner-up finishes. The Lancers finished the 2009 season with a 30-23 record and lost the Conference Tournament Championship game in extra innings. In 2007 the Lancers finished 29-17 this team also where GPAC Conference Tourney Runner-up.
After seven years, Bernatow has coached 70 Academic All Conference Athletes, 39 Daktronics All-America Scholar Athletes, 39 GPAC All Conference Players, 5 GPAC Gold Glove Players, 3 All Americans, 2 GPAC Players of the Year, 1 GPAC Pitcher of the Year, and 1 Region III Gold Glove Player. The Lancer baseball team has also been named NAIA Baseball Scholar Team for eight consecutive years.
