2012 Winter Camps

EQUIPMENT FOR ALL CAMPS: Participants will need to bring gloves, running shoes for indoor use (no cleats) and bats, if available. Mount Marty will provide other necessities.

The Hitting Camp is set up to provide instruction on several important topics to develop as an offensive player. The camp will provide instruction and drills on the following topics:
• Hitting basics • Common flaws of the swing
• Power of the bunt • Hitting breaking pitches
• Creating bat control • Generating bat speed

The Pitching Camp will deliver advanced instruction to provide pitchers the opportunity to reach their maximum potential. Instruction topics include:
• Arm care • Injury prevention
• Proper warm-up • Pitching-specific training
• Mechanic drills • Progressive throwing routine
• Mental mindset • Developing off-speed pitches
